The following night I flew out to Bali for my long awaited holiday with the family that left me out of volleyball for 10 days. I returned the Friday evening before one of our Saturday morning trainings which I attended despite being quite ill the night before. Classic Bali!
I struggled through this training session and came to the quick realisation of the importance of maintaining my health throughout the season. Although I did ensure that I was eating well in Bali I still knew that I could further improve on my nutrition. During the time that I was away the playing group was announced to all members of the squad which had been reduced to a squad of 16. The group also set our team's goals for the season:
